New Builds

We manage the full construction process on new build projects, from initial groundworks and foundations through to structural frame, roof, first fix, and the quality finishing details that make a home stand out.

Every new build is different, and we work closely with clients and architects to make sure the build progresses to programme. Dale is on site throughout — not just checking in, but working alongside the team to ensure every stage is done right before the next one starts.

Barn Conversions

Barn conversions demand a particular combination of structural knowledge and careful craftsmanship. The existing building needs to be understood, respected, and worked with — not fought against.

We handle the full conversion scope: structural openings, new floor and ceiling structures, insulation, windows and doors, first fix services, and all the joinery details that tie a finished interior together. Where original timbers are worth retaining — exposed trusses, oak beams, ridge frames — we know how to work around them and make them a feature rather than a problem.

Roof Structure & Carpentry

A roof is only as good as the structure underneath it. We design and cut traditional roof frames on site, working to architect drawings or from our own calculations, and we work alongside structural engineers where steel is involved.

Our roof work covers cut and pitched roofs, hipped ends, valley construction, dormer structures, and full batten and tiling. We regularly incorporate Velux and heritage rooflights, lead work, and ridge detailing to the standard a quality build deserves.

If you are at the frame stage of a build, or if an existing roof needs structural attention, we have the experience to assess it honestly and carry out the work properly.

Commercial Projects

We design and build steel portal frame structures for a range of uses — workshops, garages, commercial units, agricultural buildings, and specialist bays such as MOT and service facilities.

The work covers the full scope: groundworks, concrete slab and inspection pit if required, structural steel erection, cladding, insulation, electrics, and fit-out. We have experience with vehicle lifts, alignment equipment installation, and the kind of precise fit-out that a working garage or commercial workshop demands.

Every outbuilding project starts with a conversation about how the space will actually be used. That shapes everything from the slab specification to the door sizes.

Groundworks & Foundations

Good construction starts below ground. We carry out strip and trench foundations, reinforced concrete slabs, drainage runs, and inspection pit construction for garages and commercial workshops.

Getting groundworks right matters more than most things on a build — it is the part no one sees but everyone relies on. We work to structural drawings and take the time to get levels, falls, and reinforcement correct before concrete is poured.

We also work alongside groundwork specialists and groundwork-only contractors on larger projects where our scope begins at frame level.

Renovation & Refurbishment

Renovation work requires a different approach to a new build. Existing structures, services, and finishes all have to be assessed, worked around, or improved — and getting that balance right takes experience.

We carry out internal renovation across a range of project types: solid wall insulation and dry-lining, structural alterations and new openings, first fix carpentry, stud partitioning, joinery installation, and full fit-out co-ordination.

Where a building needs to be stripped back and rebuilt properly rather than patched, we have the honest conversation early — and then carry out the work to the standard it deserves.
